"Surprisingly comfy screening rooms"
I went to a screening through newportbeachfilmfest.com, and I’ll admit I wasn’t expecting much from the room itself, but it was actually really comfortable. The seats had decent space, and I didn’t feel boxed in like I sometimes do at these kinds of events.
The sound was good too, which was a relief because I was half expecting it to be way too loud. It was easy to just settle in and enjoy the movie, and even the room temperature was nice instead of being freezing. Small details, but they made the whole thing feel better than I thought it would. 5 stars from me.

"A messy start from beginning"
Right from the start, it felt really disorganized. The lines were confusing, and the staff seemed like they had no idea what was going on. I was just standing there trying to figure out where to go, but nobody really gave a clear answer.

I used newportbeachfilmfest.com to look up movie times and some event details. Overall, painless. The menus made sense. I found the schedule without having to dig around forever, which I appreciated.
The site does feel a bit crowded in spots. Especially on my phone. Some pages have a lot going on, and a few links could stand out more. Still, it worked fine. Had the info I needed...

"By the time we finally got inside..."
By the time we finally got inside, I was already frustrated. The venue itself may have been fine, but the access situation was rough and not as easy as it should’ve been. It just made the whole experience more stressful than expected.

I thought the Q&A was solid overall. I stayed for it even though I had planned to leave right after the main part, mostly because I was already sitting near the back and figured I might as well. The speakers actually gave real answers instead of just talking around the questions, which I appreciated. Toward the end, a couple of questions did feel a bit rushed, probably because they were running out of time, but it was still worth sticking around for

"Really fun events, honestly"
I went to a couple of their special events and had a great time. Everything seemed well organized, the staff were friendly, and the whole vibe was fun without feeling too over the top or... you know. Just a nice, easy time. I’d definitely go again

I was hoping it would be easier to meet people, but it felt kind of difficult to make real connections. A lot of the events seemed a little cliquey to me, and overall I’m not sure it was really worth the price

"Really appreciated the variety of films"
I checked out the Newport Beach Film Fest site to look through the lineup, and I was genuinely grateful for how much variety they had. There were shorts, documentaries, international films, bigger releases, and smaller indie picks too. It was nice not feeling like everything was the same kind of movie, and it made it easy to find something that fit whatever mood I was in. I’d definitely use it again next year.

"I bought my tickets on my phone thinking..."
I bought my tickets on my phone thinking it would be quick and easy, but when I got to the theater the barcode just would not load. I ended up having to step aside while they tried to look it up, and it was stressful because I was worried I’d miss the start of the movie. Maybe I just got unlucky, but for a film fest, I feel like the mobile ticketing should be a lot more dependable, right?

I went to a few screenings and was kind of surprised at how smoothly everything moved along. The staff seemed to keep people more or less in the right places, and even when it got fairly busy, it didn’t feel too chaotic or anything. Overall, it was a easy experience.

"Not really worth what they charge"
The tickets felt pricey for what you actually get. The site itself was okay and easy enough to use, but the overall experience didn’t feel worth the money. What bothered me most was how carelessly things seemed to be handled, like there wasn’t much attention to detail. I left feeling like I paid more than the experience deserved

Support did reply quickly and the issue was eventually sorted without too much hassle. Still, I kind of felt ignored at times, like they were just rushing through my messages instead of really paying attention to what I was saying.
